Ingredients
1kg beef, cut into cubes.
Shallots 5 nos, cut into slices.
Garlic 3 nos, cut into slices.
Ginger 3cm, crushed.
Star anise 2 nos
Cinnamon stick 2 nos
Cumin seed,
Whitepeppercorn 5gm, crushed until smooth.
Salt as needed
Coriander leaves as garnishing
1) Firstly, if the meat is frozen thawed the meat under running water until
soft. Then, wash and clean the meat.
2) Boil salted water in the pot.
3) When the water was boiled, put the whole meat and covered it to fasten the meat to soften. The function we boiled the meat first because to reduce time when cook the soup.
4) During wait the meat to soften, prepared the onion and garlic, wash it and cut into slices.
5) The slices of garlic and onion, star anise, cinnamon stick, and crushed ginger. This ingredients is to be sauté.
6) Prepared the whitepeppercorn and cumin seed. Then, crushed
All together until smooth. This mixture to give spicy and herb flavor to soup.
7) When the meat was ready, take the meat out from the pot and cut into cubes.
8) Saute the slices onion, garlic, star anise, cinnamon stick and ginger in the pot until it’s fragrant. Pour the water half of the pot. Then put the cubes meat in the pot that was filled with water. Make sure the water are covered the meat.
9) When the water was boiled, put the crushed whitepeppercorn, and cumin seed into the soup. Seasoning it and covered. Cook until the meat is tender enough.
10)Lastly, when the meat was tender put the fried onion and slices coriander leaves. Remove from heat.
